bible teaching

Over 75 years ago, Lincoln Lake was founded to be a place for those seeking the Lord. Our goal is to help campers grow in the knowledge, love, and obedience to Him. We teach the Bible and its truth to each guest at camp. Each week is customized with a full roster of activities to foster spiritual growth while soaking in the full camp experience. Our goal is to make camp a meaningful time for each camper who attends.

Weekly devotional guide

Each year, the staff here at Lincoln Lake invests our time and energy into a key part of our teaching ministry: the weekly devotional. Our days start out with a morning Bible time led by our trained counseling staff. We read about the faithfulness of God, His great love for us, and the path of righteousness that He has intended for man to live within.

In addition to our Bible reading, the booklet has fun activities about the lessons, scripture memory, and pages for notes from our chapel time. Campers can take these booklets home in order to help bridge the camp experience back to “real life”.

Chapel

Chapels have long been the focal point of our teaching work here at camp. Twice a day campers will gather in the Siegel Chapel to sing songs, rehearse scripture memory, enjoy skits and videos, and hear from our weekly Bible teacher. We have an excellent line up of teachers each summer, as we draw from Pastors, Ministry Leaders, and Children’s Workers for a fun and fruitful time together in the Word.

Wrap ups

At the end of each day, campers return to their cabins for an evening wrap up. Wrap ups give campers and counselors an opportunity to review the truths from the day – and tie them together. This wrap up will include sections from the devotionals, chapels, our intentional activities, and discussions with campers throughout the day.

This time allows for camper discussion to help bring application points into focus. It is also a time that campers reflect on the teaching and make significant spiritual decisions for Christ.
